Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, Tier 1 Board Certified Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist for their client in Abu Dhabi, UAE which is a large JCI accredited multispecialty hospital providing advanced tertiary healthcare services. We are looking for Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologists holding a recognized Tier 1 specialist qualification such as American Board certification, Canadian Board / RCPSC certification, UK CCT / CCST, Australian or New Zealand Fellowship or other equivalent Tier 1 qualifications recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements. Candidates must have completed specialist training in Pediatrics followed by recognized Fellowship / subspecialty training in Pediatric Pulmonology / Pediatric Respiratory Medicine and must possess the required post qualification clinical experience to be eligible for Consultant licensure in Abu Dhabi. The Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of infants, children and adolescents presenting with acute, chronic and complex respiratory conditions including severe and difficult to control asthma, chronic cough, recurrent respiratory infections, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, congenital and acquired airway disorders, chronic lung disease, respiratory complications associated with neuromuscular conditions and sleep-related breathing disorders. Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient consultations, develop individualized evidence-based treatment plans and interpret pulmonary function tests, respiratory investigations and relevant imaging. Manage children requiring long-term respiratory support and coordinate complex cases with Pediatric Intensivists, Neonatologists, ENT Specialists, Allergists, Radiologists, Respiratory Therapists and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. Participate in the development of pediatric respiratory pathways, clinical protocols, multidisciplinary case reviews, quality improvement programs and evidence-based standards of care while providing appropriate counselling and education to children and their families. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical governance, patient safety and multidisciplinary practice and must be eligible for professional licensing as a Consultant with the DOH, Abu Dhabi.
